Showtime is replaying all eight episodes of season 1, starting at noon, leading up to the season 2 premiere at 10pm. Of course, you can watch it early right here, but why deny yourself the beauty and blood of a season 1 marathon to do so?
To say that I watch Penny Dreadful as a substitute for other shows is incorrect … I watch it because it’s fascinating and literary and lush and intricately plotted. But it does fill the void for psychological and blood-drenched thrillers that I feel when Hannibal is on hiatus. And it appeals to my aesthetic desire for literary period horror like The Woman in Black and Bleak House. I just LOVE everything about it.
And thanks to our favorite fandom fashion enablers, Hot Topic, we can own a little bit of Vanessa Ives now as well with their new Penny Dreadful line.
It’s safe to assume that I have already ordered this Scorpion Print Dress, you guys. That collar called to me.
