If you’ve been around these parts for very long you know we’re not one for boring interviews or the same old questions. We like the make our 60 seconds or if we’re lucky a few minutes with a celeb or someone you guys (and us) are dying to talk to fun and not like anything else you’ll watch them. This of course can make some people want to jump on their high horse or get all jealous Julie on us about our interview style. First off, I’d like to tell you as someone who has done MANY interviews, red carpets and events: THIS SHIT IS NOT EASY!
Second, it’s not cool to do shit like this to Robert Downey Jr:
(head to approx. 3: 45for the awkward awfulness)
.
May I make a few suggestions…
Know Your Subject

WHO THE F!CK asks a recovering addict, who also has a son with substance issues about this… at a press junket for THE AVENGERS?!?!? Robert Downey Jr was totally right to call it some Diane Sawyer shit because, FOR REAL. It’s like this journalist thought he was there for a huge expose and not the quick chat in front of the door to a hotel room toilet, like he actually was.
Ask The Right Question
Source
Ask RJD about why comic book characters have so fascinated a small section of the public for decades and why just now they’re hitting the super main stream. Ask him why he wears those sun glasses. Ask him if he watched Agent Carter or if Dominic Cooper looks like the 1940s version of him or his Dad. Does he wish he had a real Jarvis? Ask anything but this crap.
Don’t Be An Asshat

When you can see your subject get visibly uncomfortable, look at the publicists off camera multiple times and make jokes about your question, you’re probably doing it wrong. Honestly, how do guys like this get one-on-one access with mega stars for mega blockbusters?!
Clearly, RJD is a pro and handled that how any sane person should: walk out and tell the guy he bombed, though it honestly should never have happened in the first place! And when all else fails movie studios, just call us! Duh.
He, obviously wasn’t too rattled because he later posted this super cute interview on Twitter:
Asgardian micro-journalism at its finest. #AgeOfUltron #PressTour @chrishemsworth https://t.co/f5nZK1u2Nt

Follow RJD on social media, he is amazing at it!
The Avengers: Age of Ultron is in theaters May 1, 2015
Did you make it through the second-hand embarrassing video? Who lets these clowns into the same room of these celebs?
