After the holidays, we took a little inadvertent break from Boozy Book Club to re-read the Fever Series, and we realized something HUGE … we love it when YOU talk to US about books. So, we’ve spent the past several weeks planning a new Boozy Book Club, where we get more suggestions from you, more discussions from you, and more involvement from you.
We are SO EXCITED about what is coming up with Boozy Book Club. We’ve been dying to tell you AND NOW WE CAN!
Re-VAMPed … get it?
So let’s get to the awesome new stuff.
Every month we will pick main book and optional book for the month, like always. But we definitley want to hear from you guys about what you want to read … so be on the look out for Boozy Book Club Polls.
But instead of a monthly Live Hangout, the bulk of the discussion will be through blog posts, Twitter read alongs and the Goodreads forum. In fact, bookmark the group now because it’s gonna be your new favorite spot.
But WHAT ABOUT THE BOOZY HANGOUTS, you say? Well, they aren’t going away. Once every three months, we will do a LIVE Hangout about our favorite book out of the last months’ choices. And of course, it will be boozy.
We will continue to pick books based on recs from all our contributors and all of you, and we are welcoming all kinds of suggested titles: YA, romance, historicals, literary fiction, classics, urban fantasy, HIGH FANTASY (heck yes), graphic novels and whatever you think we all would love.
Have Questions? We have answers!
When does the new Boozy Book Club start? April 1st
What’s the first book? I Was Here by Gayle Forman is our main book. And The Darkest Night by Gena Showalter is our optional pick.
Where do we talk about the books? On the Goodreads group, on the monthly Boozy Book Club blog post that announces our titles for the month, and on Twitter using the hashtag #TNBookClub.
Who is leading the discussions? YOU are, but we also have a team of awesome moderators from our regular That’s Normal contributors who are gonna be ALL OVER YO FEED … Twitter, Facebook, Goodreads … talking about books.
How do we suggest books? This thread is always a good place to suggest books, as well as the comment section of this blog post.
How do we find recommendations from That’s Normal? All our book posts are now housed on this awesome section of the site.
Where can we watch past Boozy Book Club videos? Right here on YouTube! Or … of course … on the Goodreads group.
Are you doing this because you are super lazy jerks who didn’t read anything the past couple of months, and were like OOPS BOOK CLUB? No, where did you hear something horrible and wrong like that?
Have other questions? Want to suggest books for upcoming months? Want to yell at us? That’s what the comment section is for.
In the meantime, watch this Hangoutlander about The Fever Series and Outlander: JAMMF vs BARRONS (because it was like Boozy Book Club, only better).
And get to reading I Was Here and The Darkest Night! We can’t wait to talk about them with you!!!
