No More Re-Runs, Fall TV is just around the corner!

Yesterday as I applied anti-itch cream to my Tomato-plant induced allergic reaction rash (it’s apparently a thing and I had to get a big ol’ steroid shot on my hiney) and watched the same episode of Modern Family in syndication that I’ve seen at least 259 times, I longed for the new fall TV season to start (and for my hives to go away).  Let’s get hyped.

Arrow – Wednesday, October 8

That means all you people that have been putting off catching up on the show should hop on netflix RTFN. The 3rd season of Arrow promises to be the best yet. Especially with the all the women kicking ass and taking names. More DC universe villains show up, including the most revered, Ra’s al Ghul (you may recall that name from the Nolan Batman movie Trilogy or you know, comic books.) Even Liam Neeson says he’s game to come on Arrow to reprise the roll.

Here’s why you should watch:

  • Stephen Amell’s face
  • Possible Olicity (Felicity/Oliver) romancing that will likely burn bright and fizzle into not wanting to ruin a friendship. I am at least hopeful for lots of kissing
  • Women being badass, as they do
  • Stephen Amell’s Abs
  • John Barrowman’s general being, aka all things John Barrowman who is now a season regular *praise hands*
  • Continuation of being one of the best Comic Book shows on TV period
  • Stephen Amell’s smile (he promised a few smiles this season!)

 

The Mindy Project – Tuesday, September 16th

Dany and Mindy are back together! Although I initially resisted their pairing because I loved the dynamic of their friendship — Mindy is ridiculous with men, Dany calls her our on her BS and sometimes learns dances to Aaliyah — I am interested to see where this can go in Season 3.

Here’s why you should watch:

  • The endless possibility of other dance routines for Danny
  • All things Morgan, the best/worst male nurse and friend ever
  • The hope for hot British doc, Dr. Reed to have more of a story line other his binge eating
  • Shonda Rhimes, creator of Scandal and Grey’s Anatomy will guest star!!!
  • More and more Mindy-isms that speak my life’s truth

 

What are you most excited for this upcoming TV season? I’m going to guess it isn’t Selfie on ABC (You can watch the pilot now on demand).
