Dear Stephanie,
I am not sure if you are aware, but when the ladies of That’s Normal feel exceedingly passionate about something it must be presented in letter form. Here is your letter. A couple of summers ago I spent an entire day, no longer surrounded by the sounds smells and actions of my small children, but instead in a boarding school across the Atlantic with Anna and the French Kiss. I concluded that day feeling as refreshed and rejuvenated as if I had been whisked away for a day of relaxation. Later, I felt equally passionate about Lola and Cricket in Lola and the Boy Next Door. That book required an early morning book download because I could not be bothered to wait for the UPS man to make his rounds.
Finally I have my hands on Isla. This could be bad. My expectations are understandably high for Isla and the Happily Ever After. My life has evolved and so have my reading experiences. I dove in right away and had to stop about 1/3 of the way in. It was good. Too good. I finally woman-ed up this afternoon and went back in. It was rough and painful. And perfect. Thank you for wrapping this series up so well.
Even though we are at the end of Anna, St Clair, Lola, Cricket, Isla, and Josh, I want you to know that this is not the end of our letters to you. I am playing “One of These Things Is Not like the Other…” with the covers. I don’t think that Josh would approve and I plan on remedying this in true Josh fashion. A graphic designer and an after hours print at a publishing house are in order. Even if it will only go on my shelf, they will match. I’ll keep you posted.
Thanks,
Ellie
