One of the benefits of attending Comic Con is seeing actors be witty, funny or pretty genuine – sometimes this is completely unexpected. This year, I was surprised by Adelaide Kane from Reign and Odeya Rush from The Giver. Since I generally try to avoid being a creepster (although, this motto is being tested with ever tweet I send Stephen Amell), I thought these two actresses could be the celeb besties/girl crushes for the teen girls that I know in my life, basically my friend’s kids. I would have said my own nieces, but they are grown up, heading to grad school, getting married and such (I will not break down about feeling old).
Adelaide Kane
I had the pleasure of catching half of the Reign panel at SDCC and was impressed by Adelaide’s wit, charm and general graciousness to the fans. She made quips and I laughed even though I had little knowledge of the show.

Odeya Rush
Odeya Rush is someone that I discovered through our SDCC coverage of The Giver. She just seems so humble and genuinely excited to be promoting the film. Plus, who on this blog doesn’t love girl that reads (and loves John Green)
She just won a Teen Choice award for best breakout actress and from what I heard about The Giver, it is well deserved. The Giver comes out this Friday August 15th
