Somebody needs to go over there and shake some sense into her, cover her exposed Britney with their jacket and put her in the nearest Uber home. Seriously, where was her pacer water?
So here’s the deal. In June Boozy Book Club was in full swing. Rooftop parties and bar crawls and nary a bad decision before 2am. But then came July. By the the night of our hangout to discuss our June books, Boozy Book Club started to show signs of wear and tear. Truthfully, there was a huge storm and no one had reliable internet service, and we couldn’t get together again for another week. By then, we were in full Comic-Con prep mode, and well, book club got waylaid outside a tavern in nothing but a too-short dress and a broken Aldo heel.
Shout out to those of you who kept asking questions on twitter, goodreads (and text) about when we were going to get our shizz together. You are the friends who sleep on the couch in case we puke and put Advil next to our pillows. Because we obviously can’t be arsed to do it ourselves.
Our books for June were Throne of Glass and Everything Leads to You. We aren’t going to schedule another hangout to discuss them because it’s just been too dang long since we read them. But discuss AWAY here, and on the goodreads threads. Especially if you keep going and the Throne of Glass series gets in any way more readable. (Spoiler alert: I did not like it.)

So what’s in the bag for our next Boozy Book Club? (Now that we’ve got her drunk ass home?) Well, she’s taking August off for “extreme exhaustion” but you may see her down in Malibu. Don’t buy her a Mai Tai. She’s supposed to be de-toxing.
Seriously, she’s REALLY sorry (it’s the 9th step) about letting everyone down this month, puking on the path at the dog park and calling you bitches while you carried her home.
But she’ll be back in full force come September. Between now and then, get on the Goodreads boards and suggest books you’d like to read. We’ve got a great line-up for the fall so ENJOY the last few weeks of summer. Get ready to get boozy with us again in a couple of weeks. Queen Elizabeth is STOKED about it.
