HOW GOOD DOES THIS FILM LOOK!?
Here is what we know: Emily Browning (hey Bella) stars in a quirky Wes-Anderson-without-the-familial-dysfunction-like film as a girl dealing with emotional problems who starts writing music to cope. There’s a hot guy, a geeky guy who wants the hot girl, plus MUSIC, and you know as much as I do since you just watched the teaser trailer, as well. Oh, and it takes place in Scotland. You know how we feel about Scotland around here.
Forever ago (like 2009), Stuart Murdoch, the lead singer of Belle & Sebastian held open auditions for musicians to join him in a musical project called God help the girl. From this he wrote and directed the film, funded partly by a Kickstarted campaign and it premiered at Sundance this past January.
Don’t get TOO excited for the film- it opens in limited theaters in the UK in a few weeks and there’s no date yet for a US release. I know. Drown your sorrows in Enchiladas with me now. God help the girl on the Interwebs
