Sometimes in bouts of insomnia, I scroll through my Facebook timeline and will watch odd videos that seem to be buried deep in the morning, leaving me to wonder occasionally if I created the video in my mind. Take the video below for instance. Of course my mind would associate a whacky pseudo dance performance with a blonde Sia-like wig with Lena Dunham. This is quite on par with some of the weird stuff that I dream daily (some day I’ll explain how I can only sort of fly in my dreams and just sputter about). However, I am quite happy to report this is not a bizarre fever dream! Lena Dunham did in fact perform while Sia was hiding in a lofted bed singing under a pillow. And there’s a sentence I never thought I would type. Check it out.
I was somewhat memorized while watching and secretly hoped Lena would strip away her outfit to reveal a nude leotard and tights as done in the original video.
Speaking of the original video… if you haven’t yet watched it with Maddie from Dance Moms (you know that I watch that show religiously), check out the amazing panic-pixie dance in a run down apartment while being a Sia mini-me.
Wanting more? Have you seen the live performance of this video on Ellen? Supposedly, that woman in the corner is not a creepster waiting to assault Maddie as she dances, that is Sia herself.
Anyone else up for some interpretive dancing? I’m fairly sure Bekah is ready to make this her number 1 choice for Karaoke night. I’m not sure if I would prefer her to face the corner or dance it out.
