But his interactions with the kids has been getting the most attention… Jamie gave Lorena a shout via the interwebs to see what she thought about all these kid interactions. We started with the Hamilton fan vids and then moved on to some of his other interactions over the past couple of years with little kids. As it turns out, we are in different camps when it comes to hot men with children.

Breaking It Down In Ontario
Lorena: Ummmmm the first one with the Spiderman is whatever. But the second one where we have to sit through the moms all using their kids to get close to the man, it’s soooo worth it for that little girl’s attack hug at the end. That would so be me. Even as a little kid I was an enabler and a flirt. I can remember being at some local parade with my mom and managing to get the entire sexy firemen squad over to our group with my little kid charms.
Jamie: Yeah Spiderman kid is a cutie, with his practicing how to shoot the web and running away and everything, but I’m also loving the little girl at the end of that other video. SO adorable. But I’m also super jealous, because if I met him and tried something like that I’d probably be tackled to the ground by his security team. Little kids get can get away with everything. Unfair. And Tom doesn’t get weirded out at all, just bends down and hugs her back. He even says “Thank you.” Who does this man think he is? You can also tell that he genuinely likes children and isn’t just doing it to be nice. When he has kids of his own the world might implode. Also, major props to you for your fireman wrangling skills as a child, that’s super impressive. I was always really shy as a kid. So that never would have been me, but that’s amazing.
Lorena: So I suppose that is a positive to having children, but the window is pretty slim. That kid in the jacket represents what its actially like to meet a celebrity…Having to stand there awkwardly until it’s your turn and then the whole interaction going medicorely. Yeah. I feel that kid.
College Scholarship Funds and Giving Up Early
Jamie: You know who totally rocked their “Meet Tom” opportunity? Flower Dress girl from those Comedy Central commercials he did for Thor 2.
Got right in there next to him and put her hand right on his chest. She’s going to be super proud of that later, as she should be. She should get some college scholarships just for that, because clearly she is a go-getter.
Lorena: That girl defines go-getter. She should be proud. I’m proud of her! Well done, girl in floral dress! Well done! Clearly these kids are all budding actors, so I think it’s safe to say we can all support her career. I want to watch the talk show about the film in 13 years when she is playing the young hot thing that the older character played by Tom Hiddleston gets to date. The talk show host will have them both on the show, she’ll be like 20 by then, and call up this photo and they both will have a laugh and share a look that makes us collectively cringe —> Don’t say I didn’t see this one coming when this goes down in a decade’s time. What did that one male commenter say once on LTT? Paraphrasing… “There will always be some 19 year old girl with a toner body and tighter ass than you.” We should give up now, Jamie. (looks at Tom Hiddleston calendar) Okay, maybe we’ll give up next year.
Jamie: I can already hear Tom’s nervous “Ehehehehe” if that scenario were to occur. I kind of hope it does just so we can see it.
Having Tom’s Baby — Yay or Nay?
Lorena: Would I want to have Tom Hiddleston’s kid? Aside from the lack of desire to ever have children, maybe. Not from these videos as much as from the evidence of his tireless passion and his endurance under exhaustion from never ending work and press. He definitely could handle the intensity of having an infant around. In fact he might even be totally into it, which would get me off the hook as caretaker a little bit. (I did mention I don’t really want kids right?)
Jamie: You did mention that. I’d like to have kids, but definitely not for a while. I think you’re right, that Tom would definitely be good with young kids especially. All that getting up every few hours in the middle of the night, and running around after them all the time when they get a little older. He seems to have that kind of energy. Remember that time he drew a picture of himself as Loki and was so proud of it that he tweeted a picture of himself holding it?
He probably hung it up on his refrigerator after that. Oh, and! Since he’s an actor, obviously he would rock playing pretend, house, etc. Can you imagine Tea Party Dad Tom?
Lorena: I actually can. Remember how he can bake scones? He’d be the perfect Tea Party Dad.
Jamie: That, plus all the impressions he can do? Endless fun for those little kids. I’m getting all swoon-y just thinking about it.
Ovary Explosion from Puppies?
Lorena: As far as seeing Tom with kids giving me an ovary explosion… Um that’s a big negative!!! Kids serve two purposes: getting someone’s attention and endearing that person to your presence. Otherwise they are just a huge cockblocker! Worse than a husband!!! I will have enough problems getting Mr. Hiddleston into bed, children just complicate it further.
Jamie: If kids aren’t your thing, what about animals? Is Dog Snuggling Tom doing anything for you?
A lot of the same basic principles apply. I love dogs and I think these are adorable. Just one snuggly puppy being held by a larger, human version of a snuggle puppy.
Lorena: Um……… cannot. I’m in a squealy voice excitement mode. That wolf puppy photo? Cannot. Dying. You’ve found my weakness, Jamie. Hot men with dogs. Dogs are the best. Siiiigh. This is what I need. We should have done a whole Time for Tom on snuggly puppies. I’d happily adopt a dog to use as an attention grabber and photo op with the man. Think Tom likes puggles?
Jamie: I’m sure he loves puggles, that seems like such a Tom kind of dog to like. But I know that he’s said he’s a dog person in the past so probably any dog would do. I bet he’d like anything cuddly and adorable. Like a teacup pig. Or a chinchilla!
Nature Versus Nurture
Lorena: And I truly find hot men with babies an epic turnoff. It means they are so off limits that you should not even think of them as doable. There is no “Oh hes so nurturing, look” for me. No. Keep those babies away from me and my hot men, thanks.
Jamie: The “he’s so nurturing” factor is there for me, since I’d like kids one day. So that’s an attractive quality to me, knowing that someone would make a good child rearing partner. But as someone who doesn’t want kids it makes sense that you wouldn’t really care. And now that you say that, it got me thinking: I’m not really into music all that much, so the whole musician guy thing does literally nothing for me. I think it’s an unbelievably impressive skill, but in terms of sexiness I’m just like “Eh, whatever.” People are just attracted to the qualities that are relative to them and their lives, I guess. Although I think Tom is attractive all the time…
Lorena: I guess this is true? I don’t know, because actors aren’t really relative to us, are they? I hang out with some actor kids here (kids=mid-twenties, so not actually kids) and the more time I’m with them, the more I think, “I bet Tom Hiddleston is somewhat like this. I don’t know if I can handle that.” Sure, Tom’s hot, but–don’t tell anyone–I don’t know if in RL he would be sustainably attractive.
That said! We do enjoy similar things (like tennis and Shakespeare), but I wonder if maybe he’s too nerdy about the Classics for me? Have you ever crushed on a guy who was super into his English PhD? It’s like whoa… too much. Seriously, as if to make my point, I just got a tweet from my English PhD former crush and he actually finds a way to link everything back to William Blake. I mean everything.
Jamie: I haven’t had that experience I have to say. And after hearing that story I think I’m going to actively avoid it lol Is he all “Michael Sheen in ‘Midnight in Paris’-y”? Because that’s what I’m picturing, like a pseudo-intellectual. Which is a definite no. If someone was genuinely nerdy about something I didn’t necessarily have an interest in (like Tom with Classics), would that be too much? Quite possibly, I think you’re on to something there. We have such deep conversations that stem from Tom related things Lorena, we really are talented and deep. 😉
Lorena: Okay, yes, I realize I’m now having a real conversation about my actual potential with Tom in a relationship (when my chance of meeting him in a situation that would constitute as him meeting me also is about .00000000000000000001%), but what’s the point of this blog topic if I can’t discuss this with you? 😉
