A few weeks back while I was contemplating mole or the world’s wort cold sore during an Austenland viewing, I got to thinking about how Keri Russell never wears her hair curly anymore. In fact, there is a plethora of Hollywood stars that never show their beautiful curls. As a curly-haired lady that has to deal with the unpredictable nature of curls, I understand that it curly hair can be the biggest pain in the ass. Sure, I have a love/hate relationship with my hair and I get ragey when there are buzzfeed posts about curly hair and they use photos of women that clearly have straight hair that was curled, but it kind of makes me sad that curly hair as an adult actress is a faux pas.
It is so rare that we ever see celebrities with their natural hair that the media has no idea what constitutes curly hair. Someone please go feed the obviously starved so not making any sense feature writers over at Marie Claire (I’m picturing a bunch of Emily Blunts from The Devil Wears Prada starving themselves and only eating a cube of cheese when they feel faint), because this entire celebrities with curly hair photo series show stars with their hair wavy. It’s insulting, Marie Claire. Seriously.
