Of course at moments he was his perfect, charming self, like when he sent Victoria home before the rose ceremony because she got out of control drunk and cried in a bathroom (who hasn’t?) and he recognized that she was not right for him or his family. OR when he proclaimed to Clair in the hot tub, “I am having a very very much good time with you.” AGH! Only you, JP, can make grammatically incorrect statements sound so enchanting.

Yet there were other moments that felt a little bit off. I didn’t feel his usual, chipper energy throughout the episode. He BARELY spoke to the women he went on dates with. They played in the snow and danced on stage, but there was a huge lack of actual conversation. What’s the matter JP? Gato got your tongue? This leaves me wandering; what is going on in that perfectly proportioned, no threat of receding hairline head of yours JP?
Without further ado, here’s a little game I like to call WHAT IS JUAN PABLO THINKING?
Situation numero uno: Juan picks Clair up for his first one on one date. They get in the car. That’s it. Nothing else. Nope. Nada. Silence.
Possible thoughts: Ay ay ay this is awkward. Quick, I wonder if she wants to sing a song with me so I can instavid it?
Situation numero dos: Andi doesn’t want to be naked for the photoshoot. Juan has to convince her it’s for a good cause.
Possible thoughts: YOLO.
Should we sing about it?
Situation numero tres: Victoria gets drunk and makes a scene, ends up crying and cursing Juan Pablo’s vida in the bathroom. Juan stands outside the bathroom door. Silence.
Possible thoughts: Someone get me some arepitas stat.
I wonder when the Backstreet Boys are coming back in town?
