TN’s Guide to Gifts That Don’t Suck: Special Edition Harry Potter Box Set
I don’t know about you guys, but I have a mighty need to own all the different versions of the books that I love. It might never be a copy that I actually open up and read, but it doesn’t matter. If it’s out there, I want it. For the 15th anniversary of the release of Harry Potter, Scholastic put out a new box set of the series with new covers. Personally, I’ve never been a huge fan of Mary GrandPre’s covers. She’s hugely talented of course, but they’ve just never really done it for me. But I think the new covers by graphic novelist Kazu Kibuishi are amazing. They’re so much more my style, and so I must have them. And if you know a Harry Potter fan like me (re: one who is clearly super cool and not at all nerdy about this stuff), they’ll probably want to have this set, too. Plus, Christmas vacation is always a great time to re-read the series!
