Possibly the worst-ever TN post, and it is about football.
That’s Normal has had it’s fair share of soccer posts, but I cannot resist writing my first football (as in the American kind) post.
First, I have a few disclaimers: 1) I know nothing about football. Ok, maybe a little. I know that each team gets so many turns and then the other team gets to take their turns. Other than that, players like to steal the ball from each other. The end. 2) I have a lot to do today, but this MUST be shared. This post will be short, and probably lack my typical funny levels. 3) I also have an attention problem – just ask Beth and Jamie, they attempt to make sense of my words daily. This post will be all over the place.
I have a quick story for you… First Philadelphia got silly and fired its football coach for whatever reason. I don’t follow football, remember. However, I do know that Kansas City also fired its coach. It might have to do with all of those planes flying around town last season saying “Fire Romeo” or something. Also, the Chiefs struggled with the whole concept of winning. In that, they were proficient at losing.
Now, where was I? Chiefs losing and they needed a new coach. In comes Andy Reed (is that how you spell his name? Probably not. Let’s call him the mustache dude (MD)). MD comes in and suddenly the Chiefs remember that they are awesome and they win a lot, and forget how to lose.
Kansas Citians are always Chiefs Fans – Always. Occasionally, you run into fans for Denver – but they are typically from out of state, so we just smile at how cute they are and carry on. HOWEVER, now the rest of the nation is like – “Oh, wait, There is a team called the Chiefs? And they are actually good?”
(P.S. Look at me staying on task *insert moment of pride here*).
The rest of the world now gets to share in Chief’s entertainment goodness. Like this commercial from my childhood. Moment of truth, I have not actually watched it, because I have it memorized still, even after all of these years.
And now this glorious story about Eric Berry. I think that he is my new football favorite. Not because he is apparently very good at playing the football, but he has anxiety – and has a horse fear. Just ignore the Robsten moment in the story. I don’t even know if it is true.

Lookie there! I stayed on point. It’s an ADD miracle. Now, I have a bunch of appointments I am extra late for, and a #29 Jersey to purchase.
