I feel like The Mortal Instruments movie has snuck up on me. It’s coming out August 21st?!?!! That’s, like, super soon. I haven’t even made plans for the midnight showing yet.
Just kidding … we all know I won’t be doing that.
But this MEGACLIP from the movie was released the other day, and it looks just as awesome as all the teasers and trailers made the movie look months ago. I’m getting all excited.

Ok. Five things stood out to me.
1. What? Where? THAT WAS SOME QUICK PACED ACTION. Seriously, but in those five minutes they covered like 17 pages of the book. Ok then.
2. They seem to be making a bigger deal out of the invisibility glamour in the movie than they do in the books. I’ve noticed it in the trailers as well. It’s like a major plot point for the first part of the movie. That seems weird, but I’ll go with it. Like this gag with Isabelle. I like it, but it didn’t make such a big impression on me when I read the book.
3. That Ravenor demon dog thing looked AMAZING. Seriously. The graphics are no sparkle in the sun, obviously. My personal opinion is that thing looks better than the Mutts in The Hunger Games. WELL DONE. It makes me excited for the werewolves and the rest of the franchise.
4. Lena Headey is a badass. She’s quickly becoming one of my favorite actresses to just watch. Ever since her stint as the jilted 18t century lesbian lover in Possession. Seriously, I still see that poor little book worm even when she’s Cersei Lannister.
5. That VERY LAST MOMENT. Praise the Angel for a glimpse of JACE WAYLAND. I love him and his cocky self. I hope to see lots more of that.
