Living in Los Angeles you often see FYC ads across the city. FYC stands for For Your Consideration for any award show. Writer’s or Director’s Guild. The Oscars, Golden Globes and The Emmys. The Emmys are in September so their “campaign” season for nominations is May and June. Usually a network/production company spends about $250,000 on print ads and outdoor billboards to catch voters’ attention ahead of the announcement of nominations in July. But this year, Emmy darling and one of my favorite people, Allison Janney, announced on CBS This Morning that instead of spending the money for attention they’re doing something different.
For Your Consideration
For one of the best humans, I pick Allison Janney (and kudos to Chuck Lorre). You may not be an Emmy voter, but if you know one, encourage them to vote for Mom, Allison Janney, Anna Farris, and whoever else ends up being nominated. I think an activist campaign for Planned Parenthood will go much further.

Love for Mom, Anna Farris & Unqualified
You may recall in September I went to Anna’s live podcast. It was amazing! And while Whitney Cummings was her special guest, Allison Janney was also there for a few minutes. You can also catch Allison as Anna’s first guest on Unqualified. Here are two of my grainy but close to greatness of Allison moments. Anna has a book coming out in October and you can bet we’ll cover it here on That’s Normal.
