Werewolves, Vampires, and Demons, oh myyyyyyyy
Imperium is a fantasy world comprised of four kingdoms; werewolves, vampires, demons, and elementals. The king of the elemental kingdom has three daughters, and each book focuses on a daughter and her fated mate. There’s a main enemy/nefarious plot that weaves all three books together, so I highly recommend reading them in order.
The Wolf King’s Bride– Wolf king Kellan is betrothed to eldest elemental princess Eden. When they meet for the first time, Kellan realizes that her youngest sister Nora is his mate. He’s super pumped to get out of a political marriage and get into claiming his fated mate. Nora however, like any woman, wants to be loved for who she is, not because destiny said so. Her transition to Queen of the Wolf kingdom is bumpy, especially after an ancient brotherhood tries to assassinate her. Read my full review here.
The Vampire King’s Mate– Eden was relieved when her betrothal to Kellan was broken-she’s a free woman now! For all of five minutes. She soon bumps into Viktor, elusive King of the Vampires and *checks notes* her mate! The Vampire kingdom is under a curse, and the pesky brotherhood wants Eden dead as well. But she bigger problems-secrets and betrayals plague her relationship with Viktor, and she fears that love and trust might never flourish between them.
The Demon King’s Destiny– Middle sister Evelyn has had visions of Demon King Marrok since she was six. Now grown, she longs to know him in person (and in the biblical sense, WINK WINK). Marrok, still mourning the death of his first wife, fights their mating bond, to keep Evie safe and honor his late wife’s memory. But their chemistry just won’t be denied. Ancient brotherhood be damned!
Why I love the Fate of Imperium series
Alpha males with gooey caramel centers. Each Hero is a classic Alpha, with that protecting-his-mate mentality that’s adorable (and only sometimes smothering). Powerful, vicious when they need to be, but all they really want to do is shower their mates with affection and compliments while making all the sweet love.
Strong and feminine heroes. Don’t call them witches to their face, but these elemental sisters are spirited, loyal, and resilient in the face of danger and heartbreak. They’re also fully capable of bringing their Alpha men to heel. Plus their elemental magic is awesome.
They’re fast reads that don’t skimp on worldbuilding. Each book clocks in under 300 pages, but that doesn’t mean these stories are light on plot and drama. You get relational angst, action, AND the smutty HEA that you deserve.
