More about Two Dark Reigns
Banished to the mainland, Arsinoe and Mirabella struggle to fit into non-magical life. Let’s be honest, Arsinoe sticks out like a thumb and she doesn’t really care. It’s Arsinoe. But when the ghost of the famed dead Blue Queen haunts her nightmares, she and Mira must return to the island where their sister Katharine rules.
Katharine has her own set of problems. Her council is against her, her people doubt her legitimacy to the crown and a growing conspiracy wants to usurp her. But when The Mist sends dead bodies ashore, Katharine has no idea what the island has in store.

Why You Need to Read Two Dark Reigns
Two Dark Reigns dives into the history of Fennbirn Island. The opening chapter shows how The Blue Queen came to power. And Arsinoe’s dreams also uncover dark secrets of the past and illuminate why the island is messing with the three sisters. At first, I questioned the need for some of the backstory but it all comes together in the end. Worth the dead queen flashbacks.
I still love all three queens! Arsinoe is my fave—unlucky, tortured and unconventional. Mira is loyal, strong and determined to save them all. And then poor sweet Katherine, she’s unhinged and fierce in all the best ways. You would be too if you had centuries of dead queens’ living under your skin.
And then, of course, there’s Jules. Broken hearted, living in secret and legion cursed, she’s faced with impossible decisions. I feel like Kendare has been laying the foundation for Jules the past two books, so in Two Dark Reigns, Jules destiny on the island is fully in play.
Plus the ending, always the ending with Kendare Blake—master of the twisty jaw drop. Two Dark Reigns delivers. Seriously, I’m dying but I also won’t spoil. Just know, no one is safe!!! I’m jonesing for the fourth and final book, Five Dark Fates releasing Sept 3, 2019.
Watch Kendare Blake reveal a few secrets about the book:
While this isn’t exactly a spring break read, you could easily binge this series in a week. Dark, magical and always a twisty ending, Two Dark Reigns is a must-read for YA fantasy fans. It’s out now and you can buy it on Amazon.

I’m war gifted, which makes sense. Although I wouldn’t mind being an elemental.
