Annnndddd I’m back! It’s winter and it’s really the perfect time to make the switch to a more natural-based deodorant. There are lots of reasons to switch like aluminum and parabens and things I cover in my other reviews, but let’s be real, in the winter it’s colder and that means LESS SWEAT. That also means it’ll be easier to make the switch because you won’t be as self-conscious about potential smells or feelings like wetness. No worries, do it now!
Here are some of my latest natural deodorant reviews…

Kiss My Face
Back in Part One of this crazy journey that would become a three-parter with over 10 deodorants, I tried the Kiss My Face roll-on and I loved it. So you think I would have tried all their products, right? Well it took me a while but I just recently found Kiss My Face’s Quick Dry Spray and I’m so excited to share it with everyone, cause it’s at the top of this list today for a reason! This (obviously) goes on as a liquid spray but dries quickly and then leave a very dry feeling that lasts all day. The smell is a nice fresh cucumber green tea, I only wish it came in a smaller travel size. I found this recently in the winter months, so it’s one last test will be a heat wave week in Los Angeles this summer. Bring it on!

North Coast Organics
I found North Coast Organics because it was in the travel sized section at Whole Foods and bought it as an after thought to another product but I’m SUPER glad I got it. First, the lavender scent is THE BEST of all the deos I’ve tried (and we know that’s a lot at this point), it was potent but not perfume-y and it actually smelled like REAL lavender NOT the fake scent.

Earth Science
I was way into this stick because of the inclusion of Tea Tree. Tea Tree is a great odor killer and antiseptic which means less stink! YAY! Plus the consistency was smooth and easy to apply, no pots, no spatulas, just a great stick. Everything was looking like this was going to be an ace product, then I started using it. All was great for the first few days, then I noticed a heinous rash that looked like an angry vagina, form in my right armpit. I had to discontinue ALL deo for a couple weeks which was thankfully during the fall but STILL, NOTHING for weeks. Anyway, it cleared up but I’m not sure I will ever use it again. So, as always proceed with caution when using new beauty products.

Your Part Three Tips!
In each of my reviews, I’ve shared a few tips for making the switch away from traditional aluminum and salt-based deodorants to a more natural based product. And this review is no different, after doing this for over a year and a half!

New Rules!
.
1. Exfoliating Gloves!!
After a particularly hot summer, I decided I needed to start exfoliating my arm pits every few days to help get product build-up outta my pits and any residual stink off my skin. I grabbed a pair of charcoal infused exfoliating gloves and now keep them in my shower and give my pits (and other parts) a good scrub every few days.
2. Witch Hazel
Along with regular exfoliation, I read that cleaning your skin with witch hazel also helps to kill the germs that start the stint. So after showers (or when I feel unfresh) I dab my pits with witch hazel, dry off and then apply deodorant. It’s seemed to really help kick any lingering funks.
