The struggle to find a great playlist is real. Every time I need to find a soothing tune or hard-core, head banging song to get myself to run that extra mile on the treadmill, I end up trying to scroll through endless playlists while gasping for air and almost falling off the exercise equipment. Don’t become a victim. Here are some playlists that don’t suck for every occasion.
You’re putting on your lipstick, curling your hair and maybe having a drink or two because why not? Here are some songs that will make you and your friends feel yourselves before you hit the town or living room, whichever.
When you are being sappy and want a good love song that will make your insides melt, this is your playlist. From Ed Sheeran to “A Thousand Years” (tbt to those Twilight years) this playlist will either make you smile like a fool or feel really alone.
It is no secret that I am a fierce lover of all things Hamilton and Lin-Manuel Miranda, but this is just a really great combo of songs. All the hits from the original broadway play and all the songs from the mixtape in one place. Basically, my dream. If you need a boost of motivation, listen to “My Shot” and you can accomplish anything.
Your house is a mess and there are a thousand dishes in the sink, but you only have 10 minutes to clean up. Well, grab some headphones and listen to some hard-core classical music on this playlist. The fast paced piano will get your ass into gear and make you do chores 10x quicker. It has been proven, by science. Trust me.
Whether it’s work or school, this music will get that brain flowing (and maybe a large iced coffee). Classical music really has been proven to improve concentration and focus while doing work. Your boss can thank Debussy for your improvement.
You’re finally home from work and have a large bowl of pasta. It’s softly raining outside and all is well. This playlist in the background will make you so mellow, you might become a hippie.
I think the title says it all. Running is the worst, but this playlist might make you go a little farther.
Listen to your favorite artist but in a completely different way. These sessions are live and really fun to listen to. This playlist was like finding a little gem in a sea of too many different playlists.
I love this playlist, it is the perfect one to blare on a road trip or just on the way to work. Its got songs from the 80s to now and will up your mood instantly.
Honestly, this playlist is on here because of the title. It makes me laugh every time, but on the real, if you are feeling like making yourself even more sad, listen to it. Because don’t we all feel a little sorry for ourselves sometimes?
