So, 2016 hasn’t been the best for most people and it would be ridiculously easy to sit here and list all the terrible things that have happened since the ball dropped last January. But in the spirit of positivity and to try and revitalize everyone after that exhausting election, here are some really good things that came out of 2016.
Researchers found no link between eating pasta and gaining weight. So, stock up on that spaghetti and get your ass to Olive Garden while Italian grandma’s rejoice.
An activity where people from all walks of life came together to help make the world a little greener always is a positive step forward.
He had been doing it for years in London, but it was this year that his kindness caught the attention of the world and he now inspires others to do random acts of kindness.
So, you aren’t crazy after all. And it says that people who talk to themselves have more motivation and self confidence, so that’s something.
I mean, who doesn’t love him and that adorable afro.
You can rest easy knowing that there are plenty of pandas currently munching on bamboo giving zero cares about the election or politics. I’m jealous.
Yay, science. This mission actually will teach us a lot about how the universe was created and give us a really good look at the gas giant. Schools will even eventually be able to tell NASA where to point Juno’s camera.
Remember when your friends kept challenging you to pour ice cold water on your head and film it? Well, it paid off because researchers found the gene that causes ALS, which means they are one step closer to finding a cure.
As if you needed a reason to get that Venti iced coffee. And now you can even feel like you’re being healthy.
And hopefully there will be much more to share in the last month and a half.
