Call me crazy (thank you those in the cheap seats!), but I have hope. Hope, that platform that built the last president, that we can get through this. How does one go from belittling and hating 50% of the population to then tritely leading 100% of the population? Take heart, the government is never just one position, so it’s never up to one person to potentially destroy the universe. So if you feel your hands are tied, make note of your other government representatives and when they are also heading to the ballot box list.
So in response to our options and the back and forth bitch slapping, I started having daydreams of running for office (but who hasn’t… because #That’sNormal?) To run for office without the acceptance of one of the big three parties or even a trendy named platform to run on, you can still be a write-in candidate! Yay! All you have to do according to the Wiki page is meet the same criteria that all presidents must meet: being 35+, a US citizen and file Your Intent in your home state by a predetermined date.
I realized I’m not alone in this quest for control of a rapidly out of control situation as there was a headline on CNN that Alice Cooper was running on the platform that he can do nothing as well as they can! He even chose Tom Hanks as his running mate.
Sadly, he has not filed his Intent in his home state yet, so don’t rush out to zazzle.com to buy the shirts. But here is the list for those who have filed their intent, and I have to say that some of these names are familiar and will probably get more votes than Drumpf… probably**…
As for me, I’m too poor to win, but I’m currently marketing with Denny’s Restaurant to create an election season t-shirt of my very own!
And since I’m over fond of thumbkin, I’ll be running on the write-in platform of “be together, not the same”!!!
The advertisement was paid for by one hour of my free Sunday morning…
Who would you vote for if you saw them write-in as a candidate?
**Editor’s note: Hopefully
