We should have planned this better because last night we discovered some HOTTIES at the Superbowl but we’ll have to save them for next week. This week’s Man Candy Mondays features a couple hot guys in uniform. Enjoy!
Bekah’s Pick: Shawn Ashmore
Last year the husband and I got addicted to The Following on Fox- the show about the hot British serial killer (not Jamie Dornan) and his creepy killing cult. And I started crushing HARD on the new, green and eager FBI agent Mike Weston who had the WORST luck out of all the characters who didn’t end up getting killed by the cult or Joe Carroll himself:
He’s got that look about him that’s kinda “every-guy.” You know.. he would totally date me you. You’d totally look this great together too:
I literally know nothing about Shawn except for the few bits I picked up on Google- like… he’s Canadian, 34 years old, married (wahh) and approximately 5’11”:
But what’s even better than ONE Shawn Ashmore? TWO! Yes ladies: he’s a twin:

Claire’s pick: Marcus Luttrell
If you haven’t seen the beautifully told story of “Lone Survivor” in theaters yet then you’re either missing out on one of the most heartfelt movies of all time, or you’re just afraid that there won’t be enough tissues left in the world after you watch it. Either way, “Lone Survivor,” which is based on the true story of Navy Seal, Marcus Luttrell’s survival in Afghanistan during Operation Red Wings, impacted me in a way I didn’t expect. I knew I’d cry. I knew I’d be depressed and emotionally exhausted. What I didn’t expect was the profound sense of longing I felt and the deep desire to comfort the families of men I had never met and knew nothing about other than an actor’s portrayal of them. I wanted to reach out to every person who has ever experienced something like this in real life and hug each one of them.
The men who died were heroically portrayed by an array of incredibly talented men including Taylor Kitsch, Emile Hirsch, Ben Foster, Eric Bana and Alexander Ludwig. All of whom are sexy and awesome enough to deserve their own MCM posts, but this post is dedicated to the real life heroes who died that day and the one man who lived and had the courage to share the story of his fallen brothers. Luttrell is played by Mark Wahlberg on the screen, but he himself made a cameo in the film as a Navy Seal.
I can’t imagine the sheer amount of strength, courage, will and determination that it took for him to survive that fight with all his injuries and the emotional distress, to have lost his brothers and still write his book, share their story and then to be on set to relive it all. While this MCM post is specifically highlighting one man, I’d like to use this opportunity to thank each and every man and woman who has served this country in the pursuit of freedom and liberty. You’re all sexy, sexy people who deserve a whole lot of hot, yummy lovin’! If I could hug you all I would! I might even grope your butts too, because let’s face it, those uniforms make them look sooooo good. 😉
Nikki’s pick: Taylor Kitsch
Let’s continue on this men-in-uniform theme and add in my pick, and Lone Survivor co-star: Taylor Kitsch. Also known for his uniform wearing prowess in such blockbusters (HA!) as Battleship and the show that put Taylor Kitsch on the map and forever in our hearts: Friday Night Lights.
He came brooding onto the screen and into my lusting mind in the early 2000’s as Tim Riggins, the greasy, long haired, tough boy with a good heart and a sad story on Friday Night Lights. He spent most of the first few episodes giving forlorn glances and troubles stares behind his messy hair but we know. WE ALL KNEW: we’d be in love with Taylor Kitsch forever. Here’s why:
