Let me tell you a little bit about my weekend: It started with me clicking a Spotify suggested song late in the day Friday. And then was filled with me sitting on my computer for hours replaying London Grammar over and over and over and over again.
Good question. London Grammar is an English Indie pop trio featuring: Hannah Reid, Dot Major and Dan Rothman. Their first full-length album, If You Wait, was released on 9/17/2013.
Hannah’s voice sounds like a controlled Florence Welch who is not on a major record label (start praying NOW that that doesn’t change). Dan plays guitar and Dot plays multiple instruments like the keyboard & drums. Together they’re hot British hipsters with impressive hair:
But on to the important questions:
Yes. So much. This is Dot Major, which cannot be his real name:
Funny you should ask…
Because when I hear these songs I feel like crying. Over nothing.
I want to sing
I want to dance
I am overcome with emotions.
If you’re making me choose only two (other than the first song I heard), start with Stay Awake
And follow it up with Wasting my Young years
Okay can someone please cry with me now? I haven’t stopped listening to this album.
I just bought tickets to their Philly show ($10. I would’ve paid $12, MAYBE even $14) and I.cannot.wait.
