The Series Explained TN-Style
The story follows Rose, a half-vamp, who is protecting her bestie, Lissa. Lissa is a Vamp-light (they are refined, beautiful, not dead and only need a little blood). The two teens are off living on their own due to an incident at their school the previous year. Their society catches them, and drags them back to school because Lissa is royalty, yo. In this universe, being half-vamp/half-human makes you agile, strong and also attractive. So the vamp-lights and the half-vamps go to school together and the half-vamps do extra training to protect the vamp-lights who are slightly weak and often the prey of the full-vamps that are definitely dead and blood hungry. What makes this story is the ultra hot Russian half-vamp that is assigned to train the beautiful, brave, yet stubborn, Rose. Heyyyyyooooooo. Danger comes back to campus. DANGER always comes back to campus. Guys, I swear it’s the density of hot people. A density of not-so-hot people never invites trouble.
What’s the fuss about that Russian guy anyway? (slightly spoilery)
I think Rose puts it best :
Major swoons for Dimitri:
English isn’t his first language after all:
“I don’t believe in angels,” I told him. “I believe in what I can do for myself.”
Well then, you have an amazing body.” I glanced up at him with a questioning look. “For healing, I mean. I heard about the accident…”
Good banter, they have it:
“Maybe you should hit harder.”

Vampire Academy, The Movie
You may have seen some of the press surrounding the movie here on That’s Normal. We are super excited for this upcoming movie. And needless to say, I am super excited for DIMITRI (played by Danila Kozlovsky).
Recently, the super cool animated poster teasing the movie hit Yahoo Movies. Dripping blood? I’m game! Hopefully, this means the movie will have a bit more of an edge to it than the first book of the series. I mean, we have to be a little scared for Rose and Dimitri, right?
Have you read the series? Are you shipping DimRose too?
