Here is what we know:
1. I’m Team Damon with a soft spot for Stefan
Elena finally picked- and she chose Damon. The world rejoiced (except for Jamie). I went out into the streets and banged some pots & pans; I did flips and turns & twirls and tried to ignore the nagging feeling in the back of my mind that their chemistry won’t be the same now that NIAN is no longer. I went back to counting down the hours until we get a scene like this again because Vampire Diaries has SERIOUSLY been lacking in the sexual chemistry for the last half of this season:
But then I felt sad. Because.. Did you see Stefan’s face when he was eavesdropping??? Sigh… that was terrible. The sadness. The tears:
2. Lexi should have never been killed off the show.
That chick is badass, super hot and I really like her and Stefan together. Yeah, yeah, yeah they’re just friends, but dude… friends can get drunk & hook up. And they definitely should have.
3. Vampires Diaires will not be the same without Klaus
He was REALLY starting to grow on me. And even starting to grow on Caroline and COME ONNNNN…..we can’t even get a hot scene between the two of them? Just a chaste kiss? Caroline- he’s giving you back your banished boyfriend. Who is still GONE FYI. When Klaus Said, “He’s your first love. I intend to be your last. However long it takes.” you should have Grabbed that man and taken him to pound town*.

4. Matt and Rebecca are adorable
Gah why are all these formerly hated characters becoming so damn likable? And FINALLY Matt is gonna get some. Also.. is it just me or was Matt SUPER hot that episode? Have we been overlooking him all this time because he’s human an hasn’t stood out? No longer…Matt is now on my radar.
Side note: Have I had a point yet that hasn’t had something to do with sex? I need a cold shower or something. This whole season has had me in a tizzy- waiting for something good because of the Delena scene they kicked it off with early on.
5. Bonnie is dead
Good riddance. She was getting on EVERYONE’S last nerve
6. But Tyler is coming back
Ugh…. NO ONE ASKED FOR HIM BACK. Really… who is into their romance? We want Klaroline. We want Stefaline. We want anyone but that loser hybrid-werewolf on our TV screens. Even with his amazing abs.
7. Alaric is the world’s best friend.
Alaric and Damon together are the hottest things in Mystic Falls. I want grab my black leather jacket, pour a glass of whiskey and stare at them all day. Creepily. From a corner. Like a weirdo. Because, I’ll be honest, I’d be way too scared to talk to either of them. Unless I’ve had a lot of whiskey…which, to be honest, is the only way to drink whiskey…
8. Jeremy is alive.
For real? I thought Steven McQueen wanted off the show & that’s why he was killed off in the first place? I’m still not sure I believe it.. For all the spells & magic that has happened in the show, no one has really been brought back to life, right? Something feels off here..
9. Stefan is in a box in the quarry
Okay here’s where it gets fuzzy: Silas, whose true face is Stefan, (Or is that just what Stefan saw?) stabbed stefan, put him in a metal safe & threw him into the water in a quarry? Like an impossible to get out of metal safe, even for a vampire. So we’re to assume that Stylas will live life as Stefan, ruining everyone’s lives in Season 5? Poor Stefan. He REALLY has had a bad season, hasn’t he?
And so… Silas is…. alive? And Silas can’t be killed? Silas created the spell of immortality so he is unable to die… ever? At first when he appeared to Stefan as Elena I thought he was Catherine. Or Catherine was Silas. But then he turned into Stefan and there was all that talk of the “shadow self” and to be honest I was getting text messages about meeting up with my sister for dinner & I might have missed 30 seconds or so… What is going ON? Am I the only one who walked away just a little confused…? Update: I forgot the biggest news of all… Silas’ doppelganger is Stefan. That’s Silas’ true face…. dun dun dunnnnnn
10. Elena fed Catherine the cure
All in all I ended the season semi-happy that Delena was back on, super disappointed that Klaroline didn’t happen (HEY CW- Can you promise me some cross-over episodes where Caroline visits Klaus’ new show? I might watch it then) and utterly confused about the rest. Who is really alive? How are they going to continue to keep hot-Aleric on the show? Is Stefan really going to spend season 5 in the bottom of a ravine? Will Elena stop being lame? What will Catherine be like now that she’s human Will The CW promise to keep Bonnie dead?
